INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Rehab Medical, Inc., a national Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) company, announced its merger with Cork Medical today. The merger generates two unique divisions within the company, with Rehab Medical focused on custom advanced medical equipment and Cork Medical focused on wound care products.
“The merger better aligns the companies’ efforts, which previously operated independently,” said Cork Medical and Rehab Medical Chief Executive Officer Patrick McGinley. “Our new direction will allow our talented teams to collaborate and work toward our shared goal of improving lives.”
Rehab Medical will utilize Cork Medical’s 100 employees who are spread across seven states in the Midwest, including Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Manufacturing and distribution of wound care products will continue to be managed by Cork Medical’s product team. Both headquartered in Indianapolis, the two companies combine to employ more than 350 employees.
Rehab Medical currently operates in 24 metro markets, working directly with medical professionals and insurance providers from prescription to delivery on products such as power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, pediatric wheelchairs, and wound care products. In 2018 the company was named one of Indianapolis’ Top 25 Fastest Growing Companies by the Indianapolis Business Journal.
