Rehab Medical, Inc., a national leader in Complex Rehab Technology (CRT), extended its reach into Central Florida with the acquisition of Mobility Specialists. Located in Winter Haven, Fla., Mobility Specialists has been providing mobility equipment in Central Florida for more than 16 years.
“We are excited to continue our expansion throughout the state of Florida, where we have had great success over the last decade,” said Rehab Medical President Kevin Gearheart. “This move will allow us to expand our footprint outside of Northern Florida and service more people in the central part of the state while continuing our mission to improve lives.”
All Mobility Specialists employees will transition to the Rehab Medical team including assistive technology professionals (ATPs), sales representatives, technicians, and office staff.
“This acquisition will allow the Central Florida team to continue to offer the same excellent level of local support and services they have for the past 16 years - with the added benefit of our structure and technology,” said Gearheart. “This is a great fit for us, and we expect this move to be a great opportunity to provide more mobility options to those in need.”
This is the latest acquisition for Rehab Medical, headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind., which was named one of Indiana’s Top 25 Fastest Growing Private Companies in 2018 and 2019 by the Indianapolis Business Journal.
