Rehab Medical Brings Mobility Services to Cleveland, Ohio

Rehab Medical, a leader in complex rehab technology (CRT), announced today that Cleveland, Ohio residents now have access to its specialized mobility services with the company’s recent expansion into the area. This now makes Rehab Medical the largest CRT provider in the state. According to the US Census Bureau, nearly 16% of Cleveland residents are living with a disability and with this move the company can now offer specialized mobility services to those facing mobility challenges.


“Rehab Medical has a strong presence in the state of Ohio and this expansion allows us to close the last gap and cover the entire state,” said Rehab Medical President Kevin Gearheart.

“This expansion also exemplifies our intentional focus on culture and internal growth. We promoted key employees to move to Cleveland to continue our focus on service excellence and customer care.”


For more than a decade, Rehab Medical has provided custom mobility solutions designed to provide mobility freedom and independence. The company advocates on behalf of its customers to help them obtain equipment through their insurance provider such as Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance companies. Their goal is to improve the lives of its customer by helping them navigate the complex process of obtaining specialized mobility equipment through their insurance.


Additionally, Rehab Medical can provide its customers with mobility equipment two times faster than the average provider according to a recent independent study from VGM Mobility and maintains an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.


The company staffs nine employees at the Cleveland office, including assistive technology professionals (ATPs), who are Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA) certified medical professionals and have specific training and experience in rehabilitation wheelchair evaluations. The ATPs will focus on complex conditions and conduct specialized evaluations to mold and shape equipment to suit the individual’s unique needs.

This is Rehab Medical’s first territory expansion of the year with additional territory expansions coming to Georgia and Louisiana in May.
